Banyule City Council is seeking Expressions of Interest from suitably experienced artists to create a permanent contemporary public artwork at Olympic Park in Heidelberg West. The artwork will respond to the Olympic heritage of the site, build on existing community pride and identity and inspire users of the park by enhancing a sense of place. Works proposed for the Olympic Park Public Art Project could comprise, but are not restricted to: • Sculpture • Installation work • Interactive artwork • Traditional art works • A combination of art works and mediums This commission will be awarded to an individual artist or artist team that offers the best comprehensive approach to the artwork opportunity outlined within the brief linked in the commission document.
