The selection committee for the Art in Public Buildings Project has identified three possible locations for artwork: Lobby – Artwork could include 2D work, small 3D pieces, ceiling mounted/hanging work, or integrated elements on the floor or second floor railing. Artists are encouraged to consider all possible locations in the lobby to create a cohesive, integrated approach. Lab – Several hallways are available for 2D artwork that reflects the purpose and activities of the lab. The hallways are conducive for sequentially related pieces. Outdoors – The berm and northeast entrance to the parking lot can accommodate a monumental outdoor sculpture. The committee is particularly interested in a work for this area that is kinetic or that is fixed but aesthetically dynamic to suggest movement.
