Overview

Modern Stained Glass Complex. The project combines traditional stained glass (figures) with relief fusing, imitating divisions in medieval stained-glass windows (background). Hand painting, stained glass, building glass, frits. Put in lead. The whole covers 180m2.

Goals

The goal was to create a complex of contemporary, homogeneous stained glass windows in the Gothic Church of St.Matthias.

Process

In 2003 year young Priest Rector Mirosław Maliński was looking for a young stained glass worker to design stained glass in the entire Gothic church. Thanks to M.Lawicka, B.Tomaszewska, A.Gola from the Archtecture Museum, he came to me. I was 36 years old. The initial projects phase lasted three years. I invited the stained-glass Studio Oleszczuk to work with us. We put in the first window in 2006. Before The Easter of 2018 we put in the last window. My participation is :a comprehensive project, selection of glass, fusing concept :combined with traditional stained glass, all painting s (excluding background).
