Artists' Commission fee includes design, fabrication and shipping. The sculptural serves as a functioning bat habitat installed at a popular environmental public park in Florida. Planning begins fall 2022, design begins by January; and installation by December 2023. Supporting partners include artists, architects, biologists, environmentalists, subject specialists, educational partners, and parks. The sculpture will be a permanent environmental public artwork serving as a functioning bat habitat, an educational tool, a destination for nature enthusiasts, and as a catalyst for cultural tourism and economic development, as a catalyst to educate the public and provoke critical thought about regional ecosystem. High school students engaged in evolution of a public art project. Complimentary public programming planned.
