Commissioned for the Member's Lounge of the Assoc. of American Medical Colleges new building in Washington DC. A NEW DAY is 5' x 14'3″ x 1″ (71.5 sq.ft.)
Goals
To bring color, softness and a focus to the room.
Process
The Design Consultant, Lisa Austin & Assoc., and her assistant, Mari Frohne, presented slides of my work, a sample of my work and the palette of color I intended to use, to the AAMC selection committee. The only request was that I not use any color that reminded them (actually only the Chrm.) of bile!
