Brief Description
The City of New Haven, Connecticut (the “City”) is accepting qualifications from interested and qualified consultants (the “Consultant(s)”) with the intent to contract with an artist(s) and/or fabricator for the interpretive art element (“portal/silhouette sculpture”) of the William Lanson Memorial Plaza. The William Lanson Memorial Plaza aims to honor the life and accomplishments of William Lanson (1776-1851), a former slave and one of the earliest black entrepreneurs in Connecticut. Please note that, while a general concept for the silhouette sculpture has been developed (and is provided in the RFQ document), the City welcomes proposals that include additional interpretive components, alternate materials, etc.
