Brief Description

Title: "There Are Holes In My Perception Of The Rain Forest" Sculpture by Wendy Letven The inspiration for this piece came at the end of the winter as I noticed all the cold blues and greys pervading my work and my life. I felt I needed to see, not just the color green, but also to feel the sensation of dappled light in the trees and the swirling effect of wind again. I thought about the partial information memory provides us, hence the negative spaces or voids in the piece. This lead to the very matter-of-fact title "There are holes in my perception of the rainforest". This work will be fabricated out of panted aluminum shapes with a clear coat automotive finish to protect the surface. Attached to a small concrete foundation for stability.
