The City of Manhattan Beach Cultural Arts Commission is creating a Roster of Pre-Qualified Artists to be part of the Manhattan Beach Murals program (MB Murals). The purpose of the Roster is to streamline the artist selection process for a range of upcoming mural projects. Artists who are chosen for inclusion in the Roster will be eligible to be considered for future public art mural projects in Manhattan Beach. Inclusion in the final Roster will be for a period of three years. Responding to the City Council’s work plan, The MB Murals program is funded with $150,000.00 from the Public Arts Trust fund and the Cultural Arts Commission is seeking Requests for Qualifications (RFQ) from artists located in the South Bay. Preference for the first two projects will be given to artists living in Manhattan Beach. The approximate award for each mural is between $10,000.00-$15,000.00.
