Brief Description
This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is open to California-based artists and/or artist teams to submit qualifications for design and implementation of a highly prominent, site-specific public artwork of original design at the Fairview Heights Apartments, a new transit-supportive development owned and managed by LINC-CORE Fairview Metro, LP. This site is a high quality, mixed-use residential complex that serves a range of incomes, a portion of which will receive services from the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services. The public artwork represents transformation and innovation with a sense of community inclusiveness, engaging the public in imaginative interaction by visually conveying unity and transition within one composition. Established artists and/or teams are encouraged to submit qualifications for a permanent, exterior public artwork by the due date on January 17, 2020 by 11:59 PM PST. Full proposals are not required at this time.
