Brief Description

The Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Public Art Commission is seeking an artist to design and create an artistic bike rack for the entrance of the newly constructed Paddison Memorial Library in Kernersville, NC. Kernersville is a growing town of approximately 25,000 located in eastern Forsyth County. Incorporated in 1871, Kernersville is known for its historic downtown as well Körner's Folly, a historic and eccentric brick home, which is now a museum. Kernersville is associated with the honeybee, which was named North Carolina’s state insect at the urging of a Kernersville resident several decades ago. The town’s Honeybee festival has been an annual event since 1975.
