The mural will honor and celebrate HIV Long Term Survivors, and create a welcoming environment for community members and visitors. LGBTQ artists and allies who are HIV+, or whose lives have been impacted by HIV/AIDS, are invited to submit qualifications for design and implementation of the mural. Artists must reside in California, Oregon or Washington. Professional artists with experience in the field of public art and murals are encouraged to apply. Artists can apply as individuals or in teams of 2. All materials must be submitted through the Submittable application. 3-5 finalists will be given a $500 stipend to develop a detailed drawing and description of their mural concept. $20,000 will be awarded to the winning artist + a $5,000 budget for supplies.
