Emory University Hospital Midtown (EUHM) is accepting proposals for a public art piece to memorialize the COVID-19 pandemic. We wish for this piece to honor those who have survived COVID-19, remember those who we have lost and to celebrate care teams and the community who worked together during this pandemic. We are seeking an innovative, reflective, and sustainable project proposal that represents resilience, restoration, rebirth and remembrance of the patients, family members, friends, and coworkers of our care teams.
The public outdoor work of art will be located in the courtyard of the historic Orr Building on the Emory University Hospital Midtown campus facing Peachtree Street at 550 Peachtree Street NE Atlanta, GA 30308. The piece should be suitable for the serene space to allow visitors to touch the piece in a moment of reflection.
