Artists, designers, or art collectives are asked to propose a public art project for implementation in the park. The art may be 2-Dimensional, 3-Dimensional, mixed-media, and/or consist of or include light and sound. Location of the art within the park is not previously determined and may be informed by the work’s scope. Art may be interactive, may activate the space in specific ways, or may be solely visual. Each chosen artist will receive a total not to exceed $15,000. This will include all planning, coordination with design consultant, participation in public meetings, materials, fabrication, installation, insurance, and artist fee. The artist fee will be delivered in two installments: half upon delivery of the final proposal, and the remaining half after installation is complete.
