Chicago Sculpture International, in collaboration with the Chicago Park District and the North River Commission, is seeking proposals from artists for an exhibit of five sculptures in Ronan Park’s Multicultural Sculpture Park and Healing Garden.
Works must be large scale and suitable for outdoors. They will be installed on grass. Sculptures will be on view for two years, from August 2021 to August 2023 (exact dates to be determined). Each sculpture will receive a $3000 stipend.
Ronan Park’s Multicultural Sculpture Park and Healing Garden, a project in the making, is being designed as a place to find beauty and inspiration, take refuge and find a safe haven for renewal and quiet meditation. The chosen sculptures will reflect the healing, peace and unity themes of the park and garden. Ronan Park is located in the Albany Park neighborhood of Chicago, which has one of the city’s highest percentages of immigrants and is one of the most diverse areas in the U.S.
