Brief Description

The City of Northfield will commission an artist/architect or artist/architect team for the design and installation of an informational kiosk structure that will be located near the southeast corner of Division and 6th Streets. The kiosk should include artistic elements and reflect on the unique character of the city of Northfield. ARTWORK THEME: Possible themes; historic Northfield, Northfield as an arts town, Northfield as a river town, Northfield ecological. Consider sculpture that moves using wind or sun. Consider figurative sculpture with the kiosk. Consider relief sculpture or mosaic incorporated into kiosk. Consider the use of light/power. Consider orientation to pedestrian traffic.
