Brief Description

The Carmel Clay Public Library invites public artists to apply for an opportunity to design and fabricate public artwork for the Youth Services/Kids area of the newly remodeled Main Library. The Carmel Clay Public Library is renovating and expanding its Main Library with reopening to the public scheduled for the fall of 2022. The library is looking for a visionary artist to help shape the environment of the library’s Youth Services/Kids area. The library has commissioned a collection of bronze animal sculptures for the entry to this area with an animal representing each continent. In keeping with this concept, the library is seeking an artist to create related art on the wall behind the bronze figures as well as a 360-degree mural over the service desk bulkhead that emphasize a global/international perspective. The library is open to additional creative thematic input from the artist.
