Overview
This is a painting commissioned for the corporate offices of Vestas, a Danish company, that manufactures wind turbines. The painting depicts images of circular movement (like the blades) natural elements affected by wind (leaves, water, seeds) and abstract images of the wind turbines. Colors were evocative of the Danish design sensibility and clean modernism.
Goals
The piece was to fit on a particular wall, lit by daylight, and include colors that coordinated with the interior space.
Process
The art consultant worked directly with Vestas and oversaw the proposal, approval and installation stages. The artist provided progress images during execution of the painting.
