Overview

The design was inspired to depict the Woodlake Rodeo and different types of rides at the rodeo. Showing different riders and the activities that occur during the event. The Lions Club of Woodlake sponsored the project and had a input on images used. The dimensions of the mural are 11'Hx100'L. The materials used were Nova Gel, Nova acrylic paint, and Nova exterior varnish. The city of Woodlake provided the lift used on site.

Goals

The goals of the mural were to show the site of Woodlake Rodeo and the different rides of the cowboys. Showing the livestock and activities that are there. Incorporating the Lions logo and the Woodlake Rodeo brand logo.

Process

Met with city representative who relayed all information required. Images were preplanned for the design and provided photographer contact information to acquire photo from the event. Using real images from the rodeo.

Additional Information

Due to the budget and large scale of the mural, the major detail was designed to lay within square footage appropriate to the budget. Less time consuming background images were used in the remaining square footage.
