Overview

This trio of Stainless Steel and Rigidized Steel sculptures illuminated by programmed LED lighting stands 17′ high and 7′ wide. “Wings to Dreams,” located between the Erie Library and Community Center, intertwines the essence of human aspiration with the natural tapestry of Erie, crafting a nexus where environment and dreams manifest as tangible specters of our collective imagination. Through intricate textures and a rich palette of imagery inspired by Erie’s native fauna—echoes of a world that thrived before human footsteps marked the land—the installation is a testament to the enduring spirit of nature and the intricate dance between the past and present.

Goals

"Wings to Dreams" is an invitation to embark on a journey of imagination, to see beyond the visible and to find kinship with the essence of our shared dreams. The sculptures create a space for the community to gather to celebrate the potential that lies within and between us all. In this space, nature and art converge, reminding us that we are all architects of the future, crafting our destinies with the power of our dreams and community.
