Overview

Wild, Heterotopias Augmented Reality installations reflect thriving garden and newly built architecture around the HighLine. These augmented orbs transform our experience of space and time, juxstapose nature against bare walls and sky, based on Sadé’s photographed of the High Line gardens (designed by Piet Oudolf). They create a mirroring world, a journey between imagination and reality on separated levels. Sade’s work speaks to land, nature and metropolis through 3D photographic sculptures.

Goals

A collaborated efforts between Shuli Sadé of Sadé Studio, the team of Aery AR app. The High Line Nine Galleries in Chelsea and related developers was aiming to raise public awareness to new tools of seeing art in one of the most popular cultural hubs of NYC. High Line Nine exhibition curator Olivia Davis added, “What we wish to impart on the viewer is the transcendence that comes from experiencing artists creating fine art in new dimensions of reality. By using AR we can still see the individual beauty of art but now with no boundaries or limitations. It’s a new world for fine art to inhabit.

Process

While developing the art work by Shuli Sadé, AeryAR App was stepping forward finding new methods to show the art work at its best. The process was inspirational and brought the project to a new level of beauty and completion. “Content is the most valuable asset in the digital age," said Jay Van Buren, co-founder and CEO, Membit Inc. "Aery empowers fine artists to execute their vision in the growing medium of AR and VR, creating deeper and more impactful human connections through their work."The High Line Nine galleries supported the project and contributed by hosting, advertising and celebrating it with Sadé Studio, Aery and the public. A hybrid art fair, exhibition and event space, High Line Nine is a unique collective of galleries under one roof that is redefining how art is showcased and experienced.

Additional Information

Wild Heterotopia installation was installed both at the High Line Nine galleries, on the HighLine and at the Hudson Yards Plaza near the newly designed Shed. ..." in a single real place, Heterotopias are capable of juxtaposing several spaces, several sites that are in themselves incompatible, most often linked to slices in time (“Des Espace Autres,” Michel Foucault, 1967). A portal to parallel worlds expands the size of reality, comprise the entirety of space, time, matter, energy, and the physical laws and constants that describe them.
