Overview

A 14’ x 6’ x 6’ aerial metal sculpture for a historic office building in St. Paul.

Goals

Owner of commercial property wanted to add an appealing feature to entry lobby in a 2 story atrium area. We decided upon an aerial sculpture. The historic building was once a site for industry, and as there are several design/engineers as tenants, we went with metal for the material. The property is near the Mississippi River, we chose blue waves for the elements. Was a perfect solution for this space.

Process

The owner of the property was a former interior designer and had specific design standards and criteria to meet. Bonnie hand created all the pieces and designed and built the hanging apparatus. She then constructed the sculpture at her studio, and transported it to the site. She worked closely with the building maintenance team to ensure installation went smoothly.
