Overview
The clients recently upgraded their penthouse loft in the Logan Circle neighborhood and commissioned the artist to create a new site specific piece, measuring 40×50 for the largest niche in their new art collection wall of their great room.
Goals
The clients wanted the painting to show the diversity of the architecture in their contemporary interiors as well as their neighborhood. The artist photographed the interesting architectural details to construct unique architectural forms, as collage, in the mixed media oil painting.
Process
The artist provided a selection the photos to the clients before doing the conceptual work and shared photos of the work in progress.
Additional Information
This was the second site specific commission of this residence for these clients and the creative process flowed smoothly.
