Overview
This waterwall of glass and bronze on a property in Healdsburg, CA serves as a screen and delineation point between the entrance parking area and a private courtyard. The 17 bronze columns are bridged by 6 floating glass panels. Both sides of all surfaces come to life with thin sheets of cascading water.
Goals
The client was looking for something with the sound and motion of water that evoked the warm natural feeling of the surrounding redwoods. There was also a desire to incorporate the translucent qualities of glass. Another important factor was the need for a physical screen to separate public and private spaces.
