Overview
“Variation: Apparent Reflectional Symmetry, Part I & II” is a 28 ft wide by 5 ft 9 in tall oil and encaustic painting created for the exhibition, “Iterations & Assertions” at the San Jose Institute of Contemporary Art. Each half of the diptych is a near-mirror images of the other, essentially setting the tone for a “backward/forward, upside-down/inside-out” experience of formal exploration and perception.
