Client: Gilbane Development

Overview

This mural aims to bring people together. The development company was interested in creating an iconic image that inspires the public. I’ve been painting Love Knots for a few years. This building is on Lake Michigan. The particular knot represented is a nautical knot. Rope is also something I associate with traditional forms of labor. Finally, two ropes of different color when brought together, intertwined, with force and pressure can work together and become one.

Goals

To present a dynamic and colorful mural to engage the public and to inspire the public to use their imagination. The development company was looking for an iconic image. This is my personal work.
