Urban Wild is a site-specific sculpture design and built by Yasmin Gur in Jerusalem, using reclaimed wood. The dimensions of the sculpture are 6’x4’x6’
The goal was to bring a new warm natural feeling to the building, to create an intimate area where the shoppers can be exposed to art.
The team presents the site, the challenges, budget and time frame. I develop a model taking in consideration safety and other concerns. The model was approved, and production took one week.
This concept can be developed into other parts of the building and cover many areas. I like to use a corner as many times corners are "dead spaces" in the building. I like the challenge of making use of underused spaces. I welcome the opportunity to collaborate.
