Overview

Untitiled(Flock) was commissioned for a municipal courthouse as a colorful wall sculpture in two distinct parts. Color and form were key.

Goals

This project was meant to visually direct people through a main corridor in an emotionally positive manner. Courthouses can be tension-filled spaces to experience so we wanted be sure to add levity to anyone viewing the work. The second part (Bounce) was installed as a visual distraction in a waiting area for children.

Process

This project was initiated by the consulting firm, Artist Circle Fine Art in Potomac, MD. We discussed the thematic responsibilities of the sculpture and then I produced several digital renderings for review and selection.
