Overview
This was the first major Public Art Installation for the City of Indianola, IA : a prime location of town at a major intersection of City Hall, the Police Department and the Fire Department.
Goals
The sculpture had to represent the community of Indianola and become the focal point of the Plaza: a diameter of 20 ft.
Process
A group of members of the Community ( Parks and Recreation Dept, Indianola Park Friends, Friends of the Garden) sent out an RFQ for this first Public art installation . Great public input and collaboration between the city of Indianola, Park and Rec Department, Indianola Park Friends and the artist.
