Overview

Public art incorporated into Signage for the Town of Buena Vista Colorado. The Gateway signs Qty-2 are approximately 9′ tall and 20′ long. This signs are primarily made up of steel with a pre-rust patina. Incorporated into the signs is precision board of high density foam with cnc cut lettering to give a 3D pop.

Goals

The goal was to supply the town with a representation of past and present elements. The rusted steel points to the storied mining past and the banner swoop and the river rock point to the Arkansas river where many come to spend their summer days playing in.

Process

We were put in Charge of the entire project. The town had a tight budget and we were able to hit their price point by taking care of re-design, engineering, excavation of the foundations, pouring of the concrete, fabrication, installation, and lighting.
