Demiurge worked with Brooklyn-based artist Molly Dilworth to fabricate and install Time Present. Fabricated from aluminum, the piece spans 50 feet in length, 10 feet in height, 3 feet in depth and has nearly 200 aluminum facets. Five vibrant colors highlight these facets.

This work of art was commissioned by the Denver RTD Art-n-Transit program and was part of the grand opening of the "A-Line" a new commuter rail that runs from downtown to the Denver International Airport.

Demiurge worked with both the artist and RTD to navigate the logistics that were required to coordinate this installation. With the site being under construction, several additional safety protocols were required along with precise timing for installation.

Additional Information

"The project for the 40th and Airport Station is named 'Time Present' after an article Fuller wrote for Harper's Magazine in 1975. Using data from a specific site as a structure, I give form to things that invisibly motivate our actions. I have partnered with green building community organizations, climate change activists, arts organizations and government agencies to make public art pieces that address our relationship to labor, ethics, history, nature and technology." -Molly Dilworth, artist
