A stainless steel structure (6m diameter) with a complex flotation system which allows the artwork to move with the tide and hover above the water surface. Concealed linear lighting reflects down onto the water surface causing the artwork to rebuild itself with its own reflection.
A memorial to the missing crew of a WW 1 Australian Navy submarine lost off the New Guinea coastline.
This work is one of many collaborations between Warren Langley (artist) Trent Baker (industrial designer and director Armature Design Support) and Partridge Event Engineering (structural engineers.
