Overview
This painted glass partition wall is dual-purposed. It was commissioned as a narrative artwork with a secondary objection to obscure the view to the staircase.
Goals
The primary goal was to make a good painting, because the clients have a fabulous art collection. A muted pallet was chosen using an opalescent white glass with black enamel and touches of color.
Process
After scale drawings were approved, the artist fabricated the artwork and installed the work in the client's home with a glazing professional. Lighting was installed to provide illumination after daylight hours by the client's lighting designer in collaboration with the artist.
