Overview
This project involved making work for every guest room for a new resort in Breckinridge, CO
The pieces are made by laminating three inch slats of used pallet wood and colored acrylics into a 40″ by 12″ forms
Goals
The client was looking for artwork with a more subdued color palette for the rooms of their new resort. They liked the natural wood that I use with these pieces and felt it would be a good fit. Initially, the designer was concerned that there might be too much color involved so I did not put as much in as I normally would. By phase 2 of the project, they wanted more color so I obliged.
Process
The collaboration was easy. The consultant was familiar with my work and had seen these pieces and presented them to the client. After that it was a matter of determining sizes and quantities and then I got to work.
