Palm Beach County Head Start School
Imaginative murals created encourage engagement in cognitive development activities based on Head Start’s curriculum areas including art, science, language, math, and imaginary, dramatic, manipulative play.
Three unique murals take students on a journey of unexpected surprises, beginning with the “Head Start Welcome” mural, which features an inviting park scene brought to life on the pages of an oversized book. Followed by a beachside wildlife refuge in “The Early World” mural and a rainbow bridge leading the way to the “Magic Treehouse” scene.
Creative characters, scenes and stories support Head Start’s mission of empowering children, families and the community, and invite all to personally identify and visualize themselves in the positive learning environments depicted.
