Overview
David Weeks Studio and Miller/Anderson Ltd. came together to adorn this pedway in Chicago’s south loop with the beloved BOTs, a much larger version of the wildly successful desktop puzzle toy, Cubebot. Built entirely in aluminum the taller BOT, standing 23′, shoulders an enclosed pedestrian walkway while the other sits in a resting position.
Goals
Miller/Anderson wanted to bring some playful art to the street level of the Marriott Marquis building in Chicago Illinois and decided to approach David Weeks Studio to see if he would be open to having his handheld Cubebot puzzle made into a large scale sculpture. How fun! This project brings large scale joy and fun into a sometimes serious landscape.
