Overview
Environmental Sculpture for Cathedral to raise awareness of climate change issues.
Commissioned by Belfast Cathedral and created from fallen branches of native Irish woodlands.
Title: The Ark

Materials: Local native fallen branches from hazel, beech and ash trees, 20ft long, 20ft wide, pigment paint.
Location: Belfast, Northern Ireland
Goals
To encourage visitors and tourists to the Cathedral to engage with issues including climate change and local environmental concerns.
Process
Working with the Board of the Cathedral I was commissioned of create a series of drawings and proposals for a sculpture to be placed in the middle of the Cathedral floor. The chosen work was decided by the Cathedral Board.
