Overview

12 sq ft of originally designed relief terra cotta fireplace surround with handmade tile hearth

Goals

The goal was to add history, warmth to create a story in a newly build home.

Process

This is one of two clients I never personally met. All the design was driven through the designer. I submitted several terra cotta samples, some with glaze, some without.The warm palette of the natural terra cotta was the perfect choice. It reads of another time, a European feel.

Additional Information

This project is still one of my favorites. Although not shown in the photograph, this fireplace is in the master bedroom.. It's so cozy!
