Overview
As part of the $40 million makeover, Grahame was commissioned, to create a 46′ x 11′ mural for Tampa Marriott Waterside feature wall and also, the doors behind the new registration desks. The concept for the wall was for it to look like a watercolor interpretation of moving water.
Goals
The design scheme throughout the hotel has a turquoise water theme, whether it' the carpet designs, or the prints on the walls.
Process
Juliana Kerschen, the Interior Designer for the architects company, The Johnson Studio sent me the brief, together with inspirational talking points for me to develop into renderings and sample boards.
Additional Information
The whole project, which also wrapped around the doors and doorframes, went smoothly and I completed the mural to everyone's satisfaction, within a week.
