Overview
Infuse brand attitude in iconic local architecture and develop holistic stories was the summarized brief of the brand agency. The Miami Flagship store T-Mobile required an iconic element. The designers at FRCH requested a three dimensional voxel chandelier; bringing a Miami Modern flair to the store. The Miami Chandelier could not be achieved with off the shelf products and required customization and design engineering.
Goals
The design engineers developed custom PCB boards to create the voxel display. The LED’s on the PCB were diffused by an acrylic sphere. The drivers and power supplies were placed in the custom support structure from where the LED spheres were suspended. Safety features and back-up supplies were all integrated in the support structure as well.
Process
It was a collaboration between interior designers at FRCH to really get an understanding of the design intent, the T-Mobile brand managers and AVI-SPL overall AV integration team to make sure the voxel display met all the brand demands and work well with all other AV elements.
