Overview
Long and narrow, 4′ x 8′, glass kiln fused onto burnished copper panels, mounted with French cleats.
Goals
This composition is installed in an elegant, marble reception area. The client wanted a brilliantly colored installation to enliven and enrich the austere quality of the white marble. Sunset over water was the client's favorite subject.
Process
Sunsets are one of my favorite subjects, too. This composition is horizontal, creating a serene and welcoming reception to all.
Additional Information
Glass on copper, aka copper enamel, will not fade in intense light. Indeed, the depth and color sparkle in direct sunlight. Glass cleans easily and beautifully, also.
