Overview

This project involved a site which was inside an office building that had a 45 ft high atrium open to the sky. The client wanted the artwork to be placed on two walls inside of the atrium. The artwork was comprised of six eight foot long sections of cable strung with multiple blown glass elements. The artwork covered each wall where it was installed to a height of 30 feet.

Goals

The client wanted to have the art work placed as high up on the walls as possible. This was accomplished using a scissor lift to place the first section of each installation as high as the lift would reach and then spacing the second and third sections below it.

Process

I worked with the property manager on site to locate the best site for the artwork where it would have maximum visibility. I also collaborated with the engineer from the company to design and install the mounting hardware for hanging the artwork.
