Overview

The green transparent leaflike plates are connected by a backbone of aluminum pentagons. The same pattern of pentagonal zinc strips are cast in the 22 green plates. The backbone is made of stacked and welded aluminum pentagonal slices. The pattern and the plates increase in size each time with 3%.
The green material is especially developped for this work by a chemist and is solvent-free, UV resistant and fire retardant.

material zinc, aluminum, special flame retarding “pur”
size: 435x140x120cm

Goals

The work is made for the tax authorities. There were very strict fire safety requirements. For this we went in search of a transparent material that met the requirements. Paying taxes is the backbone of society.
