Client: Church of St. St. Cyril and Methodius

Overview

The project was implemented in Bulgaria for the church of St. St. Cyril and Methodius in the town of Lovec. Consists of 14 stained glass windows. 13 of them are ornamental and 1 is of a figurative composition. The total area of the stained glass is 30 square meters The technique of execution is copper and tin.

Goals

Тhe aim of the project was to create a symbiotic environment between existing frescoes and stained glass. In the Orthodox churches, the frescoes played a leading role, as it was important that the stained glass were not too accentuating. Тhis has been achieved with ornamental compositions.

Process

The creation of stained glasses lasted for three months. Two people worked on them. The installation was two days. As before, the stained glasses were placed in safety glass.

Additional Information

The budget was limited. This is why industrial glasses have been used in the implementation. However, the result is satisfactory.
