This glass donor wall incorporates graphic design from a recent logo/branding project at the school. The largest triangle is 20″ tall, with the grouping covering approximately 6 feet of wall space. Made of fused glass, the triangles are mounted on aluminum stand offs for 3D overlap and flexibility in placement.

The glass works very well to integrate the colors and shapes of the logo into a colorful artwork. It also commemorated the donors in an effective and attractive way. This is the second of three similar installations we have done for the school. There is potential for a greatly expanded sculpture of this type using modular units of practically any shape.

My studio provided a scale drawing and glass samples for approval. The school was responsible for sending a PDF file with edited and proof-read text. The text was then sand-blast engraved into the glass and highlighted with silver paint.

Additional Information

The aluminum standoffs are a good way to mount glass sculpture of this type. They are easy to install and the client has been able to do it themselves very successfully.
