Overview

To create a work of art that was flowing. The overall design required to have a collection of fine art photography that showed family as well as the seasons. The overall piece is intended to give a peaceful journey as one traverses the 125 foot atrium hall with skylights.

Goals

Artist Statement: The Healing Waves of St. Francis is to emulate the joys of life and nature throughout the physical and symbolic seasons. With nature’s imagery as well as moments of life captured on the waves, the piece as a whole is to instill the peacefulness of an ocean’s movement while celebrating the cherished moments of joy, nature and the resilience of the human spirit.

Process

The collaboration with the artist, designer and interiors rep as well as with key hospital personal was essential to project the hospital's focus on family, healing and wellbeing.
