Roark Gourley

Palms Casino Resort

Roark created his iconic SplatBall by mistake, messing around on his iPhone. The original ionized gold finished splat is among the highest caliber blue-chip art adorning the elite Sky Villa suite of the Palms Casino Resort, recognizable by its appearance alongside Cardi B in Palms: Unstatus Quo. Roark seeks to grow the splat as a series of jaw dropping public works, prepped for once-in-a-lifetime selfie opportunities, as evidenced by the renderings pictured above.

Commissioned artwork is integral to the elite Sky Villa suites of the Palms Casino Resort. Booked for $50,000 a night, suite curators endured an intensive design and selection process to ensure the work would represent a luxurious, unforgettable experience.

The SplatBall underwent extensive digital design and sculptural rendering to guarantee its aesthetic quality and engineered stability. The artist worked closely with the team of curators at Daniel Fine Art Services through the process of design, production, and installation. Forged from foundry cast stainless steel with a hand polished ionized gold finish, the Splat was produced with care from start to finish to ensure its brilliance.
