Overview
Sited on a college campus, four 10’ x 12’ w iridescent glass mosaic murals integrated into a planetarium evoke the spark of creativity that is vital to scientific discovery and intellectual inquiry. The spark also conjures the wonder and beauty of the cosmos.
Goals
The goal was to transform the existing dull concrete facade of the planetarium into an iconic art destination on campus that reflected the College's commitment to academic excellence and scientific inquiry.
Process
WOWHAUS collaborated closely with the campus community, seeking input from students, faculty and Facilities staff in developing our design.
Additional Information
The, iridescent and mirrored surfaces of the glass cast reflections of colored light on passerby, inviting engagement.
