Overview
A permanent, interactive sculptural exhibit, composed almost entirely of recycled textiles. Designed and built for the Children’s Museum of Phoenix. Created while serving as Artist in Residence at the museum, with funding from grants by The Hearst Foundation and Phoenix Suns Charities.
Goals
Someplace is a sensory-rich environment with many textures, colors and materials incorporated into its design. Escaping into an imaginary world where children can invent characters, assume roles and act out scenarios is a rich form of play and a predictable stage of early childhood development.
