Overview
SOLSTICE is a monumental interactive installation, inspired by solar and planetary movements that invites the audience to take control of the environment around them. Throughout the experience, SOLSTICE disturbs your perception of the surroundings, making you lose sense of where you actually are, somewhere between reflections, parallel dimensions and reality.
Goals
SOLSTICE is about how our own actions have far-reaching consequences, and this is perceived through an audiovisual reverberation that takes over the whole space as people rotate the central sun. Just like the sun affects moods, seasons and nature, our individual decisions and actions also have effects on a global scale.
Process
We created this interactive installation, and our partner Jack World built it. They are handling the shipping, installation and maintenance, allowing us to offer a turnkey installation. Jack World has an extensive portfolio of public interactive art installations, so with them involved; we ensured that the work would be sturdy, resistant and of highest quality.
