Overview
14' Stainless Steel Ring Band of 316L High Chromium Stainless Steel with a 3' x 5' Diamond fabricated from Clear Acrylic with lighting installed at the top of the Band.
Goals
TB&C Marketing company collaborated with Albert S. Smythe Jeweler, the Client and ART Research to design a monumental Diamond Ring replicating a designer ring from the Jewelry Store. The Client's goal was to be able to have a monumental Diamond Ring with a Pedestal outside the store for photo opportunities for Engagements/Weddings/Anniversaries after the customer has purchased a Ring from Albert S. Smythe Jewelers.
Process
TB&C Designed Ring with ART for fabrication in Polish SS. Setting of the Ring and shape of the Diamond was very important. The Diamond was created out of 54 pieces of cut acrylic panels permanently adhered together section by section. It was set into the setting with padding to allow for metal and acrylic expansion and contracting through the seasons. The Ring and Setting constructed out of 316L SS Sheet and internal structure of SS Pipe. The surface brought up through to a polish highly reflective surface. There was lighting installed by Outdoor lighting Perspective in the top of ring under Diamond with an access panel for servicing the lights and electric
Additional Information
The Ring was transported to the jewelry store and installed by ART Research as close to the building as possible to make it appear that the Ring was leaning against the building. It was also tilted to make it more interesting to look at as the Diamond was sitting at a 60 degree slant towards the building.
